Chapter Eleven: The Enchanting Beauty
Although Xiao Feng verbally told Ye Lan to let Hu Shan go, he had already decided to kill her. Regardless of whether Ye Feng was right or wrong, Xiao Feng could no longer tolerate Hu Shan’s repeated use of underhanded tactics to harm others. First, she targeted Ye Lan, then Grace, and now Ye Feng. Who would be next, no one knew. The only reason he asked Ye Lan to spare Hu Shan was to keep Ye Lan out of danger—otherwise, Ye Lan would be at even greater risk. Who knew where Hu Shan had acquired such dark arts?
After leaving the Ye residence, Xiao Feng did not rush to find Hu Shan immediately. Instead, he went to the jewelry city to help Grace craft a bracelet. He chose a hollowed-out pure gold Phoenix Song bracelet, seven centimeters wide and one centimeter thick. Embedded within, the magical crystal protruded prominently, catching the eye. Once set, the bracelet’s weight reached a staggering seven hundred grams—truly substantial.
Xiao Feng joyfully brought the bracelet back to the villa. When Grace slipped it onto her wrist, the gold shimmered brilliantly, and the rosy glow flickered, adding a noble and commanding aura to her presence.
“Sister, wearing this bracelet makes you look like a queen!”
“Is that so? I think it’s beautiful too, though it feels a bit heavy. Little slave, aren’t you going to kneel before your queen?”
Xiao Feng eagerly knelt and kowtowed, “Greetings to Her Majesty, the Queen!”
“Hehe… now get up and come massage my feet!”
“Yes, thank you, Your Majesty, for your gracious favor…”
Happily, Xiao Feng knelt beside Grace and, as his hands touched her jade-like, smooth ankle, suddenly the room was bathed in a radiant light. The magical crystal on the bracelet seemed to come alive, flowing with strange luminous currents, as if water were moving within it. After a while, the eerie glow gradually faded.
“What… what’s happening?” Grace looked at Xiao Feng in astonishment. Xiao Feng was equally bewildered but quickly regained composure. His sharp gaze fixed on the bracelet as he said, “Sister, perhaps this is the resonance between the object and its rightful owner after being reunited.”
“Putting that aside, just this alone makes it so extraordinary—I’m going to wear it all the time!”
“Mm!”
At that moment, the magical crystal suddenly emitted a warm energy that spread from Grace’s wrist throughout her body. She felt an unprecedented comfort and tranquility.
Watching Grace’s ethereal expression, Xiao Feng was dumbfounded, a mysterious premonition swelling inside him: this bracelet might conceal a secret about Grace’s unknown origins and her innate destiny.
“What are you staring at?”
“Sister, you’re truly beautiful!”
“Nonsense. You’re clearly not sincere. Do you have something on your mind?”
Xiao Feng sighed, sitting on the floor by the sofa. Gently lifting Grace’s leg into his lap, he began massaging it while recounting the situation with Ye Lan and sharing his thoughts.
Grace was genuinely angry. “Little slave, that wretch is no good at all. I support you on this—handle it however you see fit!”
“Sister, she’s harmed people repeatedly. If she isn’t dealt with, justice will never be served!”
“You’re right. If we don’t end this once and for all, who knows how many more people she’ll hurt. You never should have felt pity for her in the first place!”
A resolute gleam flashed in Xiao Feng’s eyes. Just as he was about to speak, a strange wind swept through the room. The curtains fluttered without any breeze, and the furnishings swayed gently. The bracelet on Grace’s wrist radiated a barely perceptible force, spreading an ancient and mysterious aura.
Xiao Feng was startled to see the magical crystal slowly coalesce into an image, as if revealing a long-buried tale. The vision showed a woman identical to Grace, adorned in golden-pink ceremonial attire, dancing gracefully in an ancient palace amid solemn rites and arcane symbols.
Xiao Feng’s heart stirred. Could this bracelet truly be connected to Grace’s origins?
***
“Sister, did you see what’s inside the magical crystal?”
Grace lifted her wrist, puzzled. “What? I didn’t see anything.”
“This is uncanny. Sister, this magical crystal might be deeply linked to you!”
“Whatever the case, if you say so, I’ll believe it and keep wearing it!”
“Mm!”
Xiao Feng was equally perplexed. Since meeting Grace, strange events had followed one after another. Where was the problem? He had no clue.
After dinner, Xiao Feng prepared to take action—he intended to put an end to Hu Shan’s schemes once and for all.
Grace worried for his safety. “Feng, be careful!”
“Don’t worry, Sister. Nothing will happen to me!”
“Then I won’t sleep. I’ll wait for your victorious return!”
Xiao Feng’s heart warmed. Right now, Grace was the one he most wanted to protect. Though she teased him, her kindness was genuine. Moved, he said, “That won’t do. I don’t know when I’ll be back. If you’re tired, rest. In my heart, no one is more important than you.”
“No! I’ll wait for you. Hurry up and go!”
“Mm…”
Silently, Xiao Feng slipped out of the villa and vanished into the night.
Grace reclined on the living room sofa, seemingly idly fiddling with her phone, but she was actually masking her worry and unease over Xiao Feng.
Soon, Xiao Feng arrived at Hu Shan’s residence. Standing downstairs, he looked up at the dim yellow light filtering through the curtains. Though veiled, the scene looked eerie.
Taking a deep breath, he slipped inside. At the door, he strained to listen—voices could be heard inside. Xiao Feng wondered, had Hu Shan again brought in some unsavory characters? She was just an ordinary girl—how could she muster such power to summon so many villains?
With that thought, he decided not to wait any longer. No matter what, he had to end this disaster. Gathering strength in his palm, he struck the door with a powerful palm strike.
“Bang!”
The old wooden door flew open under the force of his blow. Under the light, a stunning and seductive woman sat on the sofa, while Hu Shan knelt before her like a loyal dog, eyes full of worship and devotion.
Neither seemed prepared for this sudden intrusion. Hu Shan turned her head sideways to look, and the beautiful woman fixed her gaze on Xiao Feng.
Xiao Feng calmly entered the room and closed the door behind him. The living room was only about twenty square meters—everything visible at a glance.
No need to say much about Hu Shan.
The seductive woman had short, misty blue hair, thick willow leaf-shaped brows, curved lashes, and fox-like eyes that gleamed with an otherworldly light. Her translucent, smooth cheeks and faintly glossy lips sparkled. She wore a black satin, one-shoulder tight top, and three-quarter-length black leather pants that revealed a navel adorned with a dazzling gem. On her feet were black genuine leather platform boots with side zippers running over her knees. Her arms were slender as lotus roots, her skin fairer than snow, and even the sheer stockings could not conceal her pristine complexion.
“Xiao Feng, is it?” she said with authority.
“Who are you? What are you doing to Hu Shan?” Xiao Feng demanded.
***
The woman pointed imperiously at the floor. “Xiao Feng, you only deserve to kneel and speak to me. Now, kneel!”
“Hmph, are you controlling Hu Shan?”
“Kneel!”
“Over my dead body!”
Xiao Feng prepared to strike, but Hu Shan suddenly lunged forward to block him, shouting, “Xiao Feng, are you courting death?”
“Hu Shan, you’ve repeatedly used vile methods to hurt others. If you’re not eliminated, justice will never be served!”
“Swish!”
Xiao Feng rapidly drew the Supreme Sword and struck at Hu Shan. At such close range, she couldn’t dodge. The moment she was hit, she instantly turned into a cloud of black smoke and dissipated.
Furious, Xiao Feng pointed at the seductive woman. “She’s no longer human. What have you done to her?”
“Xiao Feng, go ask her in the netherworld. A useless wretch like her deserved to vanish into dust!” the woman sneered.
Her figure flashed, and she grabbed Xiao Feng’s throat. She was about Xiao Feng’s height, her icy expression sending chills down his spine. Xiao Feng struggled for breath, face turning red. He tried to command the Supreme Sword to attack, but to his shock, the woman’s slight wave of her hand sent the sword flying away with tremendous force.
“Whoosh! Bang!”
The Supreme Sword embedded itself deep in the wall.
At this critical moment, far away in the villa, the magical crystal on Grace’s bracelet suddenly emitted a dazzling radiance. A warm and powerful force surged forth, rushing toward Xiao Feng. It instantly broke the woman’s grip, freeing him. Xiao Feng collapsed to the ground, gasping, eyes flashing with surprise and hope.
The light not only restored his freedom but seemed to freeze the surrounding air. The woman’s face twisted with disbelief, her gaze fixed on Grace’s direction as if realizing something. A cold smile curled at her lips. “So that’s why you dared to come here. Looks like this gameI'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
