Chapter 32: Ordering People Around
Suddenly, a "rumble-rumble" sound broke the silence inside the car. Song Xixi’s stomach had staged a protest, and she was so mortified she wished she could crawl into a crack in the ground. Hearing the noise, Chang Zaisheng couldn't help but purse his lips into a smile. He cast a sidelong glance at Song Xixi, seeing her head bowed in embarrassment. "Are you hungry? You haven't had dinner yet, have you?" Song Xixi nodded slightly, her voice as faint as a mosquito's hum.
Mo Qingyi changed her approach and sent a text message: "Young Master Jin, I’ve run into Qin Rui. My prospects for the night look grim; if you can, please come and take me away. Thank you."
Everyone knew where the exit was, but Bai Yun and the others dared not approach it, for the Golden Tiger could snatch them up with a single swipe of its paw.
"No! We have to find an excuse to force Zhen Fei to make a move." Rong Gong gritted his teeth and forcibly held Zhen Fei back, simultaneously focusing his attention on devising a countermeasure.
"I, I didn't mean it like that." Guan Ping scratched his head in agitation, unsure of what the words implied.
The addition of a newcomer did not bother Gan Jing too much. While he had no intention of reneging on his agreement with the Beijing Television Station, with actors like Chen Ruoqing and Li Zaoyu before him, others would have to deliver a much more dazzling performance to impress him.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh..." Three sounds of wind being broken rang out. Yun Fei focused his gaze and discovered that the three elders had split into two groups: one was heading straight for him, while the other two were detouring, intending to ambush the three people behind him.
The rain grew heavier, mixing with blood; from above, it looked as if bright red spider lilies were blooming all over the ground.
Sigh, it’s just that the guys who have been driving for a long time lately are always looking for trouble with me and Mitsuhashi; otherwise, I’d really like to have a proper match against that bald guy.
Jin Yunheng turned and walked toward the kitchen. He took ingredients from the refrigerator, and after a display of impressive knife skills, Mo Qingyi was filled with admiration.
This was the highest figure an actor in the country had ever received. Zhang Zhonghui was one of only two actors to reach it, and the other, Best Actor Niu Kangping, had only achieved this figure at the end of last year.
"Alright, I believe you." Wang Wen pressed her index finger to Ye Feng’s lips and smiled.
To Bardock’s question, Hiruzen Sarutobi had no answer, and Danzo’s old face looked somewhat grim. On the other hand, Minato watched this Uchiha descendant—who was the same age as his own son—with curious eyes; he seemed to recall something.
Since Wang Xiu had chosen this path, he would naturally not stray into other detours unless he intended to give up.
After Gao Jiancheng threw the sack into the secret passage, he turned back to rearrange the medicinal herbs he had disturbed before returning to the passage and heading back to Phoenix Mountain.
"A mere 1 billion in combat power, and you dare to be so arrogant! Go to hell!!" Bardock roared as he charged forward, dodging Chilled’s fist and landing a heavy blow to his opponent’s abdomen.
Although having an extra skill meant an extra way out, what was happening right in front of them was clearly not that kind of situation.
Liu Wanrou was at a youthful and lively age, after all, and it was normal for her to like excitement; besides, birthdays were indeed better celebrated with more people.
Jiang Junyu said she would be back in the evening, which was why Ye Ying thought about buying groceries and cooking. During the time Ye Ying spent in Yanjing, as long as he was at home, Jiang Junyu would almost always find time to cook.
"I don't know. Perhaps it's not a matter of me taking her somewhere, but her taking me." Having said that, Xuan Ming turned his head to look at Ming Long and smiled. Ming Long laughed as well and lay back down.
"I want to wipe them out—" Ye Feng said, his fists clenched in fury, not even wanting to mention the Dragon Guardian Clan.
Watching Gong Moli in that state, Ying Tao felt a modicum of relief; even if he couldn't be the one she loved, he was, at the very least, an important person to her.
"Let me bandage that for you." Shangguan Shiyue picked up some gauze and helped Lin Ming dress his wound again.
Sena smiled, and Old Ye understood. Watching the two race cars overtake him, the Racing God quickly shifted his car back into a state of full momentum. Seeing the Racing God’s focused driving, Old Ye naturally understood his intent. And so, Old Ye smiled as well.
