Chapter Four: I Will Do It Myself!
“Yun Hua, have you made up your mind? If you proceed like this, you might not be able to graduate,” Hui Yuan couldn’t help but advise gently. No teacher at any school wished for their student to fail to graduate.
“Yunyun…” Chen Jiao Jiao also tried to persuade her good friend. Having come this far, she knew how difficult it had been.
“That’s right, Teacher. I want to give it a try. If even a team can’t guarantee success, why can’t I try on my own? Besides, the school will support me, won’t it?” Despite the worry on her face, Hua Yun’s tone was firm and resolute.
“Daring to try is commendable, but you mustn’t completely disregard your future. How about this: at the start, we’ll proceed as you suggest, and the school will do its best to support you. But if after five years you still haven’t made any progress, you should join a team as soon as possible.” Young people were always fearless and reckless; Hui Yuan had seen many like this.
“Thank you, Dean.” Hua Yun bowed deeply to the dean. She could tell this was a leader who truly cared for her students. Yet, she dared to make such a request not only because of the generous rewards but also for her own reasons.
In her previous life, she had botanical abilities. Thus, her entire university education was in botany, and she had some knowledge in both planting and breeding. Coupled with the knowledge in her own mind, she realized that the interstellar world was vastly different from the modern one, yet there were certain overlaps she could leverage.
Moreover, she had a secret weapon!
“You’ve made your decision, so I won’t argue further. If you encounter any problems during the process, feel free to ask me.” Hui Yuan said, opening her light-brain and replacing Hua Yun’s mentor’s name with her own.

“Yunyun, you’re too impulsive.” As soon as Chen Jiao Jiao stepped outside, she was filled with worry. Her little friend really never gave her a moment’s peace.
“Oh, Jiao Jiao, we have ten years anyway. Besides, the dean promised I could switch midway if needed. Let me try it my way; it’s not impossible.” Hua Yun coaxed her friend. “Who knows? I might succeed on my own. Then you’ll have a friend who can build her own planet! How cool does that sound?”
“Having a friend that powerful would really be something to brag about!”
“If I become a planet, I could invite you over to visit. You could bring your friends too and let them see what having such an amazing friend is like.”
Chen Jiao Jiao’s eyes lit up with excitement as Hua Yun spoke, but moments later, a tinge of hesitation returned.
“Even if you have such an incredible friend, this isn’t something ordinary, you know!” Chen Jiao Jiao couldn’t help but say. “Plus, having a friend who hasn’t graduated yet doesn’t exactly bring honor.”
“Jiao Jiao, you’ve got that wrong. If it weren’t difficult, how could I be considered amazing? If everyone could do it, it wouldn’t be impressive. But others can’t, and I can—that’s what makes it remarkable!” Hua Yun lifted her chin confidently.
“Alright, alright, you’re right. If you need anything, just tell me. I might not do much, but I should be able to help a little,” Chen Jiao Jiao promised.
“But Yun, do you know where such an outrageous graduation project came from? I think I’ve heard about it, but I’m not sure.”
“I’ve heard that when the school was founded, there were a few students with similar projects, though they all came from prominent families.”
“Have people really succeeded with such projects?” Hua Yun asked.
“Yun Yun, wait a moment. I’ll look it up.” Chen Jiao Jiao activated her light-brain and began searching.
“Found it!” Chen Jiao Jiao exclaimed excitedly.
