Chapter Six: The Whereabouts of the Original Owner

“Are you telling the truth?” Hua Yun couldn’t help but furrow her brow. In the original owner’s memories, she had never seen Zhao Weilin before.

“Why would I lie to you?” Li Na rolled her eyes irritably.

“Even so, his liking him is his own business. What does it have to do with me?” Hua Yun said. “I won’t like him. If you hadn’t come, I wouldn’t even know such a person exists.”

“About what happened last time, since it was an accident, I won’t hold it against you. But if you cause me trouble again, I won’t be so polite,” Hua Yun said. Luckily, the original owner was unharmed; otherwise, it could have been fatal.

As for why she was speaking calmly to Li Na now, it was the original owner’s own wish. She didn’t want to be misunderstood without reason, especially by Li Na.

Seeing the sincerity in Hua Yun’s eyes, Li Na paused. “I didn’t mean to cause you any more trouble. I just wanted to check on your head since I was the one who hurt you.”

She had never expected that an inadvertent push would cause Hua Yun to hit her head.

Although she had promptly taken Hua Yun to the hospital and covered all the subsequent expenses, she still couldn’t get past the guilt while Hua Yun hadn’t fully recovered.

Moreover, the investigations over this time suggested that Zhao Weilin’s feelings were one-sided at best.

“Who knows what you’re thinking? You can say whatever you want, but I’m telling you, don’t mess with Yun Yun again, or I won’t let it go,” Chen Jiaojiao said fiercely. She was always protective, and Hua Yun was a friend she had firmly accepted.

She had no idea about what happened last time and never imagined such a thing would occur.

“Yun Yun, don’t worry, I’ve got your back,” Chen Jiaojiao confidently patted her chest.

“Mm-hmm, I trust you. Jiaojiao, you’re the best!” Seeing Chen Jiaojiao’s cute expression, Hua Yun couldn’t help but think it was no wonder the original owner left reluctantly, unwilling to part with such a friend. Even though she had only been here a short time, she had started to like this girl.

Besides her own job in the modern world, her favorite pastime was scrolling through short videos. That day, she had been watching for a long time; her eyes felt tired, but her mind was still excited.

Who knew that while scrolling, everything went black and she found herself inside the original owner’s body. At that time, she had no memories of the original owner and had to cautiously explore this world. Fortunately, those two days were holidays until she suddenly discovered that the short video app had come along with her.

It was then that she made contact with the original owner.

Originally, they had a chance to switch back once, but the original owner said she had seen her biological parents in that world and asked her to stay in the interstellar world for her sake.

Upon further inquiry, Hua Yun learned that the biological parents in that world had come to acknowledge her, but surprisingly, they looked exactly like the original owner’s parents.

Hua Yun had never imagined that in both worlds she was an orphan. The difference was that in the interstellar world her parents had died, while in the modern world she had no idea where her parents were at all. Who would have thought that the original owner had met them after crossing over?

If that were the case, Hua Yun wouldn’t mind so much. But strangely, the original owner told her that they were indeed her parents because they had memories of living with her in the interstellar world.
