Chapter 30: I Want It All! You Robber!
As the saying goes, if you lose, you must accept it; if you get beaten, you stand straight and take it.
Unable to summon anyone more powerful to his aid, Yun Che could only listen obediently. After enduring the incessant nagging for so long, he grew impatient.
"The apology has been offered, and the lecture has been heard. Now, can you let us leave?" Yun Che asked in a low voice.
Having pursued Ye Changsheng for so long, did he really think he would be let off so easily? Did he truly believe Ye Changsheng was some kind of saint?
"What's this? Just words? As the Young Master of the Qingyun Sect, don't you have some practical compensation to offer?"
"What do you want? I will pay you whatever it is."
Yun Che was incredibly wealthy, and right now, his only goal was to get out of there.
"Everything you have on you—I want it all."
"You are going too far, aren't you?" Yun Che shouted in fury.
Before Ye Changsheng could speak, Wan Jianyi stepped forward. "My brother is not being excessive at all."
With that, Wan Jianyi flicked his finger. The items on the elder standing next to Yun Che flew out in unison, landing right in front of Ye Changsheng. In the blink of an eye, the elder was left in nothing but his undergarments.
The elder shielded his crotch with both hands and stammered, "Senior, please, no more! If you strip any further, there will be nothing left!"
"Fine. Seeing as you are an old man, I’ll leave you with some shred of dignity."
"Say thank you!"
"Many thanks, Senior!"
The elder nodded repeatedly, not daring to utter a single word of complaint.
Watching this, Ye Changsheng couldn't help but smile bitterly. He was still too naive; ginger really is spicier when it's older. To be robbed and still have to say thank you?
"Little brother, it's your turn."
"You got it!"
Ye Changsheng looked at Yun Che and sneered, "Young Master, you saw what happened to him for not handing over his things. Will you hand them over willingly, or shall I help you?"
"A word of advice: I am not like my older brother. He is getting on in years and has a soft heart, but I am still young..."
Ye Changsheng intentionally left his sentence hanging, letting Yun Che fill in the blanks.
"What exactly are you trying to say?"
Yun Che was clearly terrified; even his voice was trembling.
"I’m not saying anything. I just wonder how many people in the Northern Territory would love to see what the Young Sect Master looks like completely naked?"
As soon as these words were spoken, Yun Che felt his world collapse. He clenched his fists tightly, glaring fiercely at Ye Changsheng.
"You bastard! You are shameless!"
"If you curse me again, I’ll toss you into the most crowded city in the Northern Territory to run naked."
"You are shameless..."
Yun Che’s voice grew weaker and weaker until he finally fell silent.
"Are you giving it up or not? If not, I’m starting the strip-down!"
Ye Changsheng let out a wicked laugh.
"I’ll give it to you!"
Right in front of Ye Changsheng, Yun Che removed his treasures one by one. Ye Changsheng turned his gaze toward the others and smiled. "Well? What are you waiting for?"
Hearing this, those men scrambled to comply. Ye Changsheng couldn't help but be grateful; after all, these were the high-ranking members of the Qingyun Sect who had come to hunt him down. Otherwise, he never would have been able to loot so much loot. In the blink of an eye, the resources and treasures had piled up into a small hill.
"I’m rich! I’m rich!"
Yun Che kept a straight face and asked in a low voice, "I have given you everything. Can you let us go now?"
Ye Changsheng looked at Wan Jianyi and asked, "Brother, what do you think?"
"Out of respect for that old man of yours in the Qingyun Sect, I will spare your miserable lives today," Wan Jianyi said with a look of disdain.
"Many thanks, Senior!"
The group didn't dare say another word, only nodding in gratitude. Suddenly remembering something, Wan Jianyi tossed a peach-wood token to Yun Che.
"Give this to your father! Tell him that if he dares to trouble my brother again, I will personally pay a visit to your doorstep."
"Very well..."
Wan Jianyi waved his hand. "Get lost!"
As soon as he spoke, the group scrambled away, fearing the others might change their minds. After they had gone, Wan Jianyi looked at Ye Changsheng and asked with a smile, "Little brother, do you hate me?"
"Huh?" Ye Changsheng looked bewildered. "Why would I hate you?"
"Those guys chased you for so long, yet I let them go."
"Brother, what are you saying? You are my big brother; how could I ever hate you?" Ye Changsheng laughed. "Besides, if it weren't for you, how could I have possibly defeated Murong Du?"
Wan Jianyi nodded with a grin. "That’s my little brother! Hahaha! Rest assured, now that the favor is repaid, if they dare to come again, I will personally lead you to storm the Qingyun Sect!"
"Mmhmm."
No sooner had he finished speaking than Wan Jianyi’s stomach began to growl. "Gurgle, gurgle!"
Wan Jianyi rubbed his belly and smiled sheepishly. "My stomach is truly uncooperative. I’m hungry again..."
"If you're hungry, let’s go eat. My treat!"
"With those words, little brother, I can rest easy!" Wan Jianyi chuckled. "Let’s go, time to eat!"
...
Yun Che led the group back to the Qingyun Sect in low spirits. They had left with arrogance and bluster, but they returned like stray dogs—heads bowed, looking like deflated balloons.
At that moment, the body of Bai Tianyuan was missing, and Yun Shan had been unable to sleep, keeping watch over the site. Seeing the group return, he hurried forward and asked, "How did it go? Did you catch him? Was the Ancestor's body recovered?"
Everyone remained silent, bowing their heads; no one dared to look Yun Shan in the eye. Seeing no response, Yun Shan turned to his son.
"Che'er, what exactly happened?"
Yun Che, filled with shame, replied in a low voice, "Father, we did not bring back the Ancestor's body. Ye Changsheng said he has already buried it."
"That bastard..."
Yun Shan gritted his teeth in fury, thinking, *Why did he bury it? I haven't mastered the 'Shangqing Fuyun Art' yet!*
"Father, there is one more thing."
Yun Shan kept a straight face and asked impatiently, "What is it?"
"Ye Changsheng has already mastered the 'Shangqing Fuyun Art'..."
Upon hearing this, Yun Shan completely lost his composure.
"What did you say? Ye Changsheng, an outsider, mastered it? Is this true?"
Yun Che nodded and continued, "It is true. I fought him, and the techniques that brat used were indeed the 'Shangqing Fuyun Art'."
Yun Shan let out a roar toward the heavens, "Scoundrel! Scoundrel!"
The roar echoed through the sky, and the entire mountain peak trembled violently.
"How can our sect's supreme treasure technique be learned by an outsider? This time, I will go myself! I will definitely capture that thief!"
In truth, that was not the only reason for Yun Shan's anger; he was furious that he had practiced for years without progress, while Ye Changsheng had mastered it in just a few days of holding the body. For Yun Shan, Ye Changsheng was now more important than Bai Tianyuan, which meant he wouldn't have to worry about staring at a corpse every day.
As they flew through the air, Yun Che suddenly remembered something and handed the token to Yun Shan.
"Father, there was a master by Ye Changsheng's side."
Yun Shan scoffed, "A master? Is he more powerful than me?"
Yun Che dared not answer, simply handing him the worn wooden token. "This was given by that person."
Yun Shan took the token, looked down, and was instantly struck dumb.
"Wan... Wan Jianyi?"
Yun Che asked, confused, "Father, is there a problem?"
Yun Shan let out a long sigh. "Turn back! We cannot afford to provoke this Ye Changsheng."
"Issue the order: all disciples of the Qingyun Sect are forbidden from ever attacking Ye Changsheng again."
Yun Che was completely bewildered. "Father, who exactly is this Wan Jianyi?"
Yun Shan glared at him fiercely with a stern expression.
"You don't know, and for you, that is for the best!"
