The Yu residence was quite lively. Yu Min'er had skipped her evening self-study session, and both Yu Fei and Yu Jiaxuan were at home. Qin Lin had specially instructed the kitchen to prepare a couple of extra dishes for the evening.

Because Starlight Entertainment had successfully cleared Yu Min'er's name and the movie had been a box office hit, the Yu family's business was back on track. Yu Fei had a few extra drinks tonight and was in high spirits.

"Min'er, what is going on between you and the eldest young master of the Mo family?" Yu Fei asked with a beaming smile.

The Mo family was a prominent and powerful clan in the capital, far superior to his father-in-law's Qin family by who knows how many times. If Yu Min'er could secure a connection with the Mo family, he would be able to walk unhindered in Fancheng from now on.

Yu Min'er bit her lip and smiled faintly, "There isn't really much between us. President Mo just thinks I have good talent and intends to cultivate me."

Yu Fei narrowed his eyes and suddenly burst into loud laughter, "Good! Excellent!"

Yu Jiaxuan glanced at Yu Min'er and asked, "Sis, does that mean you'll be heading to the capital to develop your career in the future?"

Qin Lin placed some food onto Yu Min'er's plate and shot Yu Jiaxuan a smiling, reproving glare, "Of course your sister will be going to the capital to advance her career."

Qin Lin herself hailed from the capital. Although Fancheng's economy was developing quite well, compared to the capital, it still fell short.

"I knew it. Sister is much more impressive than Shen Qing."

Upon hearing the name Shen Qing, the other three people at the table paused. Yu Fei, in particular, grew instantly irritated at the mere mention of that name.

"Why on earth are you bringing her up out of nowhere?" Yu Fei glared at Yu Jiaxuan, and the atmosphere in the room abruptly chilled.

Yu Jiaxuan curled his lip, "I was just stating the facts."

He wasn't wrong anyway; Shen Qing couldn't compare to even a single strand of his sister's hair.

Yu Min'er raised her head to look at Yu Jiaxuan and gently reprimanded, "Jiaxuan, Shen Qing is your older sister. Don't talk about her like that."

Qin Lin smiled and cast a sidelong glance at Yu Fei. This was the difference between people; the daughters she and Shen Fangfei gave birth to were destined to be, respectively, a phoenix and a wild pheasant.

Yu Jiaxuan uttered a vague acknowledgment and, having barely eaten a few bites of his meal, got ready to head out.

"Where are you going? You've barely eaten anything!" Yu Fei frowned.

Yu Jiaxuan was changing his shoes at the entryway, "I've arranged to hang out with some friends. I'm heading off."

"Sigh, boys just need to have a bit more fun." Seeing that Yu Fei's expression didn't look too good, Qin Lin smiled and smoothed things over for Yu Jiaxuan.

Yu Min'er also chimed in, "Dad, Younger Brother is still young. If he likes to play, just let him enjoy himself for a couple of years."

"Fine. Min'er, keep eating; you've lost weight these past few days." Yu Fei's expression softened somewhat. He stopped dwelling on Yu Jiaxuan's whereabouts, and soon the room was once again filled with laughter and chatter.

The next day, Liu Yichen rushed over to Class 3 at the crack of dawn to look for Shen Qing.

"Why are you here again?" Yao Panpan was in the middle of explaining a math problem to a classmate in the back row. Seeing Liu Yichen walk in, she couldn't help asking.

"I came to interview Sister Qing. Where on earth did she go for more than half a month?" He planned to make a post on the campus online forum to recover the losses he suffered during the recent period.

Seeing that the seat in the back row was empty, Liu Yichen rubbed his head, "Hasn't Sister Qing arrived at school yet?" He had clearly heard someone say they saw Shen Qing come in for morning self-study.

Yao Panpan rolled her eyes, "She went to the restroom. You can go wait at the entrance of the girls' washroom."

"..." Liu Yichen was left speechless. He wasn't that much of a pervert.

"Sister Qing, Sister Huan," a boy in the corridor outside shouted. Liu Yichen's eyes lit up—they had arrived.

"Sister Qing, you're finally back."

Shen Qing gave the boy a casual glance, walked into the classroom one after the other with Nie Huan, pulled out her chair, and sat down before asking, "What is it?"

Liu Yichen cast a sidelong glance at Shen Qing's big-shot demeanor. With that unyielding expression and indifferent tone, he almost wanted to drop to his knees and shout, "Long live, long, long live!"

"Bah, I just wanted to know where you went during this time. Would it be convenient for the big boss to enlighten me?"

"Not convenient."

Liu Yichen was momentarily stunned, "Alright then, I'll be off."

Yao Panpan had been keeping an eye on this side of the room. Watching the speed at which Liu Yichen made his exit, she couldn't help but sigh, "Gosh, that's what I call self-preservation!"

Shen Qing raised an eyebrow, pulled a sheet of white draft paper from her desk drawer, and prepared to draw.

Nie Huan glanced at the small sphere in Shen Qing's hand and couldn't help asking, "Did Teacher Gu give this to you?"

Shen Qing let her pen trace the outlines of the shape on the paper, lifted her eyelids to glance at Nie Huan, and then slowly nodded.

"Does he have feelings for you?" Nie Huan's voice was very soft, but Shen Qing managed to hear it clearly.
