Min Er was always the center of attention wherever she went. Today was her first day back at school as a senior. As soon as she entered the classroom, she brought out gifts for everyone—exotic foreign snacks and autographed photos of young celebrities.

"Wow! It's Lu Yunan's autograph! Min Er, I love you so much!" Ruan Yingying hugged the photo, her eyes disappearing in laughter.

Lu Yunan was a red-hot young idol, who had debuted with a popular boy band and exploded in fame last year thanks to a suspense web drama, attracting countless fans.

Min Er smiled. "It just so happens the lead actor in my last shoot, Chen Xiao, debuted in the same group as Lu Yunan, so I asked him to get me an autograph."

"Min Er, you're wonderful!" Ruan Yingying gave her a big hug.

Min Er gently pushed her away, glanced at the boys crowding the corridor, and asked with a smile, "Anything interesting happen at school while I was away?"

"Not much—just a new transfer student. The boys can't stop praising her, but aside from being pretty, she's useless," Ruan Yingying replied, recalling the recent poll for the new campus belle.

Min Er lowered her eyes. She hadn't seen Shen Qing since her birthday party, then she’d gone to her grandfather’s in Beijing for art lessons, and upon returning, heard that Shen Qing had somehow dislocated Jiaxuan Yu’s hand.

"Is the transfer student’s name Shen Qing?"

Ruan Yingying paused. "Yeah, do you know her?"

"Mm, we have some history."

Xie Mingming told Nie Huan and the others to head back to class, keeping Shen Qing behind for a talk.

"Why is he only calling Qing?" a boy wondered.

Chu Yu glanced at him coolly. "Out of all of us, she has the worst grades. Whether she listens in class or not, it makes no difference."

"Chu Yu, that's a little too blunt," Yao Panpan said, her lips twitching.

"Come on, we’ll be late," Nie Huan said, glancing back at them.

Chu Yu was the first to run over and offered to walk beside her. "Let me help you."

Nie Huan raised his brows slightly—her hand was injured, not her leg...

Xie Mingming poured a glass of water for Shen Qing and asked her to sit across from him. It was the first period after lunch, and the other teachers were out of the office.

"Shen Qing, I heard you've been promoted to Sports Committee member."

"Mm."

"Do your best, work hard. I believe in you!"

"Oh."

"Let’s just chat casually. Tell me, how did you manage to take all those people down?"

"They were too weak."

"..."

Xie Mingming rambled on, his main point being that he hoped Shen Qing would control her temper, avoid fighting at school, and pay more attention in class.

Shen Qing replied occasionally with a word.

"Shen Qing, have you thought about which university you want to apply to?"

"Beijing University."

"..."

Xie Mingming was stunned for a moment, thinking this child must be joking.

"Beijing University is the top school in our country, an excellent choice. Since you’ve set your goal, work hard for it. Even if you fail three hundred days from now, at least you tried your best and lived up to your youth. Don’t you agree?"

"Mm," Shen Qing replied indifferently.

"Alright, class is almost over. Head back for now. I’ll have some classmates help tutor you, and if you ever have questions, you must come ask the teachers. We’re usually in the office. If you can’t find your own teacher, ask someone from another class, understand?"

"Mm."

"Go on then. Oh—Shen Qing."

"Anything else?" Shen Qing turned back at the door.

Xie Mingming smiled and gave her a thumbs up. "You did well helping your classmates today. But in the future, don’t fight. If there’s a problem, come to the teachers—or the police. Don’t take risks on your own."

Shen Qing paused, then turned fully around, bowed to him, and smiled. "I understand. Thank you, teacher."

"Alright, that's all. Head back."

Shen Qing nodded. Class Three was downstairs, and the bell had just rung. Many students were out in the corridor for a break.

As soon as Shen Qing approached, everyone made way for her, their voices dropping to a hush.

She entered the classroom through the back door. At once, Little Fatty saw her and coughed loudly.

In an instant, the classroom filled with the sound of chairs scraping as every student stood and turned toward the back door.

With his head bandaged like a pig’s, Little Fatty drew a deep breath and shouted: "Good to see you, Sister Qing! Thank you for your hard work!"

With that, the entire class joined in, voices echoing through the building: "Good to see you, Sister Qing! Thank you for your hard work!"

The cheer was so thunderous that everyone in the senior building, inside and out, could hear it.
