Jiangning City was completely surrounded by the vast legions of the Great Qian Dynasty. Until the appointed day, no one was permitted to enter. The Black Demon Sect had established their encampment just outside the city walls. Before long, Night Owl brought Jun Wushuang to the site.

Jun Wushuang was draped in a black robe that covered his entire body. This robe was formed from the Life-Death Demon Armor; not only did it possess astonishing defensive capabilities, but it also masked his aura, rendering even a powerhouse at the Heavenly King Realm unable to discern his true identity.

"Brother Night Owl has returned!"

As a Silver-ranked disciple with considerable status, Night Owl faced no obstruction as he entered the camp. However, many gazes fell upon Jun Wushuang, filled with suspicion. Ignoring the crowd, Night Owl walked straight toward the temporary palace at the center of the encampment.

"Disciple Night Owl, seeking an audience with the Deacon!" Night Owl bowed respectfully.

"Enter!" A volatile voice erupted from within the palace, sounding like a volcano on the verge of erupting and destroying the world.

Night Owl led Jun Wushuang into the hall.

"Purple Extreme Demon Eyes!" Jun Wushuang activated his technique, peering into the hall with a calm expression. Inside, there was a blood pool—a literal pool filled with pungent, scarlet blood that appeared as if it had been freshly drawn from human bodies. Within the pool sat a massive, hulking figure. This individual was as imposing as a mountain, an intimidating sight. An invisible, malevolent aura emanated from him, causing the atmosphere within the hall to become violently agitated. This was the Feathered Fiend King.

Aside from the Feathered Fiend King, there was another figure in the hall: a youth in black. He was short, around 1.7 meters tall with a gaunt frame, but his eyes were piercingly sharp. He moved like a rat in the dead of night, exuding a sinister aura.

The moment Night Owl and Jun Wushuang stepped inside, the youth’s gaze locked onto them. After sweeping past Night Owl, his eyes fixed intently on Jun Wushuang. Yet, the Life-Death Demon Armor blocked his scrutiny, preventing him from seeing through the disguise.

"The Tenth Demon Son, Mo Fenglie!" Jun Wushuang identified the youth instantly. He knew this man was not only a powerhouse at the ninth level of the Marquis Realm but also possessed the Storm Saint Physique.

"Night Owl, who is this?" The Feathered Fiend King’s voice boomed. He opened his eyes, which were bloodshot, crazed, and violent, as if he intended to tear everything to shreds. However, a keen observer could detect a trace of deep agony in the depths of his eyes. It was clear that the Yin Poison Death Qi was causing him immense suffering, which even the immersion in the blood pool could not alleviate.

"Lord Deacon, this is Master Ye Ming. He has come specifically to purge the Yin Poison Death Qi from your body!" Ye Ming was a pseudonym Jun Wushuang had fabricated.

*Whoosh!*

Suddenly, Mo Fenglie’s figure blurred like a howling gale. In the next instant, Night Owl was struck and sent flying, slamming into the wall with a dull thud.

"Night Owl, you have some nerve, spreading news of the Deacon's condition to outsiders! If any accident befalls the Deacon because of you, I will show you the true meaning of cruelty!" Mo Fenglie’s voice was chilling. His tendency to strike without hesitation was typical of a demonic cultivator.

"Demon Son, I was only concerned for the Deacon's well-being. I have not spread any news. Please, investigate this!" Night Owl coughed up blood, his body injured as he desperately explained.

"Still daring to argue!" Mo Fenglie flicked his wrist, and spiritual energy surged like a gale, striking Night Owl across the face and sending him reeling once more, worsening his injuries.

The Feathered Fiend King remained silent and indifferent to Night Owl’s suffering, his focus fixed on Jun Wushuang. Even with his immense strength, he could not penetrate the black robe, which filled him with wariness.

"So, you are Master Ye Ming, are you?" Having finished disciplining Night Owl, Mo Fenglie turned his attention back to Jun Wushuang. "I don't know who you are, nor what your motives are, but you dare to bewitch a disciple of my Black Demon Sect and force your way in here. As a Demon Son, I will not let you succeed. Get on your knees!"

Mo Fenglie was overbearing and arrogant; without further questioning, he launched his attack. *Boom!* A biting, bone-chilling wind howled, carrying a terrifying power meant to extinguish all life, instantly engulfing Jun Wushuang. Mo Fenglie’s Storm Saint Physique did not utilize ordinary wind, but rather a frigid, venomous Yin Wind.

Facing the assault, Jun Wushuang stood unmoved, making no attempt to dodge. He stood his ground, letting the Yin Wind howl around him. The defensive power of the Life-Death Demon Armor was not something Mo Fenglie could break. This sight made Mo Fenglie’s eyes narrow, and a moment later, his pupils constricted in shock.

"Heaven-Swallowing Demon Art!" Jun Wushuang unleashed his technique, consuming the Yin Wind entirely, leaving not a trace behind.

"How is this possible?" Mo Fenglie looked stunned. His Yin Wind was terrifying, not only freezing to the bone but also laced with potent toxins that would kill an ordinary person upon contact. Yet, this mysterious figure in the black robe was not only unharmed but had actually absorbed his attack. It was simply inconceivable.

"I can cure your poison, but I want a spot in the tomb," Jun Wushuang said, ignoring Mo Fenglie and staring directly at the Feathered Fiend King. He stated his purpose plainly.

"Such audacity, daring to bargain with us!" Mo Fenglie scoffed, thinking Jun Wushuang was ignorant of his place.

"You want to enter the tomb?" The Feathered Fiend King did not fly into a rage; instead, he stared coldly at Jun Wushuang, hoping to glimpse the truth behind the robes.

"The tomb of the Nether Poison Emperor is naturally enticing," Jun Wushuang replied, making no effort to hide his ambition.

"If you can cure me, I will consider granting you a spot," the Feathered Fiend King decided after a moment of silence. The Yin Poison Death Qi was too harrowing; even as an expert in poisons, he could not purge it and was sinking deeper into its grasp. If this "Master Ye Ming" could truly help, it would be a blessing. Furthermore, if this person could neutralize the poison, it would provide an extra layer of security for the Black Demon Sect disciples, as the tomb was undoubtedly rife with even more Yin Poison Death Qi.

"It's a deal," Jun Wushuang said with complete confidence.

*Splash!*

The Feathered Fiend King rose from the blood pool. His frame was massive, but his body was covered in dark, foul-smelling poison spots. Had it not been for the blood pool, his condition would have been even worse. He landed directly in front of Jun Wushuang, the stench of blood overpowering and his malevolent aura enough to drive a man to madness.

"Come then, let me see your methods of detoxification!" The Feathered Fiend King stared unblinkingly at Jun Wushuang. Mo Fenglie sneered, deciding that if Jun Wushuang failed, he would make him pay dearly for playing games.

Beneath the black robe, Jun Wushuang remained calm and composed. In the next moment, he struck. Faster than lightning, he slapped the Feathered Fiend King directly across the face.

*Smack!*

The crisp sound of the slap echoed throughout the hall.
