Chapter 100: Gathering Under the Moonlight.

Under the cover of night, Su Yi and his group checked into the hotel. Onyo sat on the bed in the single room, thinking he could finally have some time alone. The conversation volume today had clearly exceeded the limit. Bang!

“Who... who is it?” Onyo exclaimed in surprise.

“It’s me, Su Yi,” came Su Yi’s voice from outside the door.

“No... isn’t it time to rest?” Onyo opened the door to find Su Yi smiling while holding up a large bag in his hand.

“It’s only nine o’clock. The rooftop of this hotel is quite spacious. Let’s go grill up there together!” Su Yi said cheerfully.

Behind him, Hony carried a bag of drinks and desserts, looking eager.

“Still... forget it,” Onyo replied shyly, feeling Su Yi’s enthusiasm.

“There are no other people up there. Just like how you wanted me to experience the charm of Ghost-type Pokémon, this time I’ll make you feel the charm of parties and barbecue!” With that, Su Yi pulled Onyo up to the rooftop.

“Here, take it, you can have all of it.” Su Yi handed over a large bag of snacks to Onyo.

“Th-thank you,” Onyo thanked him, also infected by Su Yi’s enthusiasm.

Su Yi carried out the barbecue set, while Lu Cao arranged the various grilling tools.

“No one knows barbecue better than a hunter,” Su Yi gestured, then placed the processed exotic meats from the New World on the grill and started grilling.

Watching Su Yi hum a tune and coordinate seamlessly with Lu Cao to prepare the colorful barbecues under the moonlight, Hony sipped her drink and felt this was the most relaxing and joyful period in recent years.

“Mr. Su Yi, it’s really fun,” Onyo said softly. From playing hide and seek with Pokémon, to happily grilling under the moonlight, he always looked carefree.

“Thud thud thud~! Well-done meat!” Su Yi proudly held up a bone-in piece of meat and called out.

“Miao!” Lu Cao happily ate the meat Su Yi gave him.

“Everyone come out.” Su Yi released the Pokémon, and along with them came Little Poison Fairy Bird and Little Hero Fire Dragon Da Kong.

“Ooh ah~” As soon as Da Kong appeared, drawn by the scent, he came to Su Yi’s side, eyes glued to the steaming grilled meat.

“Here, you greedy one.” Su Yi smiled and handed over the grilled meat.

Da Kong bit into it with a woof, then began tearing it apart bit by bit with his teeth, savoring the satisfaction of chewing the meat.

“Ah wa~” Little Poison Fairy Bird ran to Hony’s side, staring longingly at the snack bag beside her.

Seeing the pitiful expression of Little Poison Fairy Bird, Hony smiled and stroked its feathers, then handed it a hazelnut chocolate bar. “If you like it, eat it. I didn’t blame you last time.”

Just as everyone was enjoying the barbecue, a sound of flapping air came from the sky.

Su Yi tensed up, almost thinking it was some dragon-type monster attacking, but thinking it through, this was the Pokémon world!

“It’s Corviknight!” Onyo said in surprise.

Under the moonlight, Corviknight, its armor reflecting the faint light, was attracted by the aroma of the grilled meat and slowly descended to land on the railing.

“Wow ga.” Corviknight looked at Su Yi with its red eye pupils.

“Guest is king.” Su Yi smiled, then handed over a grilled piece of the winged dragon’s wing root.

“Wow~” Corviknight took a bite, made a satisfied sound, then quickly finished it.

Corviknight looked at Su Yi, spread its wings, and cried out loudly.

“What’s going on?” Su Yi wondered.

Hearing the wa wa wa calls from the sky, more than a dozen Pokémon flew up to the rooftop and landed beside Corviknight.

“It’s Pichu and Starly,” Su Yi said in surprise.

The dozen or so Pichu and Starly stared fixedly at the meat on the grill.

Wow, Corviknight’s invitation to companions?

“These seem to be Pokémon wandering in the city,” Onyo noted.

“It feels like feeding stray cats,” Su Yi smiled bitterly, looking at the expectant eyes of the Pichu and Starly.

Although they were stray Pokémon, they were well-behaved, not rushing to snatch food, but standing properly beside Corviknight. Only the longing in their eyes was like it could drown Su Yi.

“Wow~” Corviknight called softly, though it was the leader of the crow flock, it begged Su Yi for food with pleading eyes.

“Wait a sec!” Su Yi quickly left the rooftop upon seeing Corviknight’s gaze. Actually, he went to an empty spot, took out the meat from his [Items], then carried it back up to the rooftop.

“No chef would let the guests go hungry!” Su Yi placed a large bag of meat down with a thud, smiling.

“Where did you get so much food?” Hony was surprised, but assumed Su Yi had bought it nearby.

“Wow ah~” The Pichu and Starly cheered.

“Don’t rush, everyone! Aibo! Let’s all go together!” Su Yi rolled up his sleeves.

“Grilling is ready, meow!” Lu Cao responded enthusiastically.

Under the moonlight, Su Yi quickly bonded with the Pokémon, and Lu Cao seemed to have made a few new friends.

“He really loves Pokémon and is full of passion,” Hony said seriously.

“It’s really nice. I seem to be starting to like this atmosphere,” Onyo said softly.

After grilling each piece of meat, Su Yi stretched his somewhat sore arms, opened a can of beer, leaned against the rooftop railing, and watched the traffic below.

“You were dazzling just now, like a shooting star.” Hony said.

“Thank you for the praise.” Su Yi smiled.

“Wow ah!” Corviknight called out loudly looking at the partners who had enjoyed the barbecue, and the Pichu and Starly responded one after another. Then they all flew away quickly.

“Clean up the mess.” Su Yi smiled, finished the beer, and started picking up the scattered trash.

“I’ll help.” Hony took the garbage bag.

“I... I’ll help too...” Onyo said.

In the evening breeze, the rooftop was soon cleaned up.

But again, “wa wa” calls came from the sky.

“It’s Corviknight and them, why have they come back?” Su Yi looked up in surprise.

“Wow ah!” Corviknight landed with a loud cry, then placed the thing it held in its claws before Su Yi.

“Is this... Dusk Stone?” Su Yi picked it up and examined it.

“Wow wa!”

The Pichu and Starly also placed their collected treasures on top one after another.

Various tree fruits, capsule-shaped Poké Balls, healing items, and various odds and ends were piled up into a heap.

Su Yi said in surprise, “This... is for me?”

“Wow ah!” Corviknight nodded, and the Pichu and Starly nodded happily.

“Thank you.” Su Yi’s heart warmed.

This was the pure and sincere affection of the Pokémon.
