"Roar!" The Furious Wyvern let out an enraged howl, its voice edged with a hiss reminiscent of a big cat, feeling thoroughly mocked.

Su Yi gripped several capture spheres in his hand and mused, "I wonder if I’ll get the chance..."

"Are you planning to fight the Furious Wyvern head-on?" The Wildlands Master frowned, clearly doubting the Scourge Claw Wyvern could stand up to the Furious Wyvern.

Su Yi was well aware that the Furious Wyvern’s ecological niche ranked slightly above the Scourge Claw Wyvern. But he had more than just the Scourge Claw Wyvern.

Moreover, the Scourge Claw Wyvern could unleash formidable moves, so in a direct confrontation, it shouldn’t be outmatched, at least not in the short term.

He smiled, "You might not know this, but this beast chased me all the way from the Ancient Forest to the Coral Highlands. How could I not respond in kind?"

Of course, Su Yi knew it was sheer coincidence, not a true pursuit. Still, it proved that monsters indeed had their own ways of traversing the New World.

The Wildlands Master shook her head with a bitter smile. "That’s fate, I guess..."

Howls echoed back and forth—the Scourge Claw Wyvern and the Furious Wyvern, both swift hunters, crouched low, muscles taut, each searching for a chance to land a decisive blow.

"Screech, let’s kick things off!" Su Yi released the Dazzlebird, Screech.

"Waah!" As soon as Screech appeared, the luminous membrane atop its head unfurled and began to glow, preheating its advantage as the Highland Walker.

The sudden arrival of Screech and its flashing light instantly drew the Furious Wyvern’s attention. It cocked its head, then darted over, intending to take out what it perceived as the weakest opponent first.

Yet Screech’s dazzling flash proved faster.

Zap!

A blinding light erupted.

"Roar?!" The Furious Wyvern tumbled in confusion, scrambling to its feet, but its vision was awash with white. Unable to see, it lashed out wildly with its wing blades.

"Scourge Claw Wyvern! Shredding Talon!" Su Yi called.

Hearing Su Yi’s voice, the Furious Wyvern immediately twisted toward him, hissing. But soon, the sound of the Scourge Claw Wyvern’s sprint caught its attention, followed by the wind-whistling strike of the Shredding Talon.

The Furious Wyvern leaped swiftly in the direction of the sound, narrowly dodging the attack.

"Sharp hearing, isn’t it?"

Su Yi commanded, "Screech, circle the Furious Wyvern and keep making noise!"

Screech sped around the Furious Wyvern, squawking noisily.

The Furious Wyvern swung its head back and forth, issuing short, sharp howls, trying desperately to lock onto the moving source.

"Scourge Claw Wyvern, again!"

Seeing the Furious Wyvern distracted, the Scourge Claw Wyvern’s Shredding Talon, glowing pale white, slashed once more.

"That glow... It’s not reflected moonlight, nor is it my imagination. Is it some kind of ability?"

The Wildlands Master, watching Su Yi command his monsters, was amazed by his tactical prowess—yet she also noticed something unusual.

That gleam on the talons—was it a unique ability of the Scourge Claw Wyvern?

The Scourge Claw Wyvern rushed in, slashing fiercely. Though the Furious Wyvern sensed its approach, distracted by Screech, it was still a beat too slow.

The razor-sharp talons tore across the Furious Wyvern’s dark fur, leaving a series of savage wounds.

Unlike other monsters, the Furious Wyvern wasn’t armored in tough scales but covered in thick pelts—excellent at absorbing impacts, but not nearly as effective against cutting blows as scales.

Even so, its physique was still superior to the Scourge Claw Wyvern, so the Shredding Talon’s damage didn’t faze it.

The Furious Wyvern shook its head, gradually regaining its vision.

"Roar!"

It bellowed, the vessels around its eyes swelling and glowing red. Combined with crimson eye-shadow, it streaked through the night like a red comet, trailing fiery marks.

Meanwhile, its long tail bristled with an array of spines, transforming it into a lethal hammer.

"Angered, are you?" Su Yi released another companion beast.

The Feral Jaw Wyvern appeared, low and growling.

Roar!

The Furious Wyvern moved like the wind, its eyes blazing red, charging like a phantom.

"Scourge Claw Wyvern!" Su Yi shouted.

The Scourge Claw Wyvern lunged from the side, jaws open, biting fiercely.

Bang!

The Furious Wyvern was struck aside, but in its fury, it slashed at the Scourge Claw Wyvern with its wing blade.

"Dodge, Scourge Claw Wyvern! Feral Jaw Wyvern, use Paralyzing Venom!" Su Yi commanded.

The Scourge Claw Wyvern released its grip and leaped away, while Feral Jaw Wyvern seized the moment, spitting Paralyzing Venom.

The Furious Wyvern shook itself, showing no immediate effect.

Now, three companion beasts surrounded it. Cautious by nature, the Furious Wyvern, in its rage, didn’t retreat but scanned the trio, seeking an opening for a killing blow.

"Could it really work?" The Wildlands Master was astonished to see Su Yi commanding his monsters to a temporary advantage.

"Screech, dazzling flash!" Su Yi decisively broke the standoff.

"Waah!" Screech began preheating its flash.

"Roar!" The Furious Wyvern, deeply loathing this, seized the opportunity, darting at Screech to eliminate the weakest link first.

"Roar!" The Scourge Claw Wyvern chased after, but its speed was clearly lacking.

"Rapid counter!" Su Yi ordered.

Screech abruptly halted its flash and charged directly at the Furious Wyvern.

"What’s this?" The Wildlands Master wondered—wasn’t this just throwing itself to the wolves?

At the instant the Furious Wyvern swung its wing blade at Screech, Screech unleashed its full speed—dodging the deadly attack and crashing into the Furious Wyvern’s head.

The Furious Wyvern growled and shook its head, unhurt, while Screech took a hard hit but managed to retreat to its sphere using its ability.

"Feral Direwolf Wyvern! Mountain Crush!" Su Yi tossed a capture sphere high, releasing the Direwolf Wyvern midair, its belly wrapped in white light as it smashed down toward the Furious Wyvern.

"Oh? You’ve got a Direwolf Wyvern as well?" The Wildlands Master remarked.

"Roar?!" The Furious Wyvern reacted instantly, trying to escape.

Thud!

The Direwolf Wyvern slammed down, pinning the Furious Wyvern’s forepaw.

"Paralyzing Venom!"

Su Yi seized the chance to have the Feral Jaw Wyvern spit venom again.

Still, the Furious Wyvern showed no signs of paralysis.

"Resistance is high!" Su Yi gritted his teeth.

"Roar!" The Furious Wyvern, now in a frenzy, raised its tail to strike at the Direwolf Wyvern.

"Scourge Claw Wyvern, Iron Tail!"

In a flash, the Scourge Claw Wyvern’s tail gleamed with metallic sheen, meeting the Furious Wyvern’s spined tail.

"Its tail turned to metal?" The Wildlands Master was increasingly confounded—this wasn’t just reflected light. Did the Scourge Claw Wyvern truly possess such ability?

Spines clashed against steel, ringing out sharply as the tails met and parted.

"Once more with Paralyzing Venom!"

The third volley of venom struck, and the Furious Wyvern shuddered, then began trembling violently—finally succumbing to paralysis.
