Chapter Thirteen: I'm Really Not a Pervert!
“I wonder if Miss Naji has grasped my meaning by now.” Heath looked at the armored bird cleaver before him, then without hesitation took it out and placed it on his own knife rack.
Heath recalled that the last time Naji came over, she had asked him how to capture a man’s heart. He had given a detailed explanation, but he wasn’t sure if Miss Naji had truly understood the essence of it. Heath was also curious about the nature of Naji’s feelings for Sakaki.
...
“Naji? Why are you here again?” Sakaki asked as he came home and saw Naji standing at his doorstep.
“There’s been new progress in the experiment,” Naji said coldly, her tone as frosty as an iceberg, and Sakaki didn’t mind—this was just typical of her personality. Yet, what she said piqued his interest.
“Come in and tell me about it. Have you had breakfast?” Sakaki calmly pushed open his door and led Naji inside. He had just made sure she wasn’t carrying anything unusual.
Naji shook her head and sat down on the sofa, beginning to explain the report she had come to give. Sakaki put down the pancake sandwich he hadn’t yet eaten and listened attentively.
Halfway through her explanation, Naji heard a rumbling sound from Sakaki’s side. She glanced up at him, only to see him maintaining a composed expression while picking up the pancake Heath had made.
Naji remembered what Heath had told her last time.
“?” Sakaki looked at Naji in confusion. Why had this subordinate of his put her foot on the table and was facing him like that? Didn’t she realize it was rude?
Though Naji had a great figure and beautiful legs, even wearing black stockings, pointing her foot toward Sakaki was still highly inappropriate.
“Naji! Put your foot down! Are you dissatisfied with me as your leader?” Sakaki narrowed his eyes. Nearby, the cat boss also straightened up, glaring fiercely at Naji.
“...You’re hungry. I’ll feed you down there,” Naji said calmly, looking at her leader with no trace of emotion.
“??” Sakaki was even more bewildered. He understood each word but couldn’t piece them together into a coherent meaning.
Seeing Sakaki’s confused look, Naji frowned slightly. She remembered Heath had indeed said that. Could it be that wasn’t enough? Did she really have to capture both a man’s stomach and heart?
With that thought, Naji’s hands began to twitch restlessly. Fortunately, before she could act on her impulse, Sakaki noticed in time and swiftly stopped her.
“This experiment plan is crucial. Make sure Dr. Kongshan pays extra attention. Funding and all that won’t be an issue,” Sakaki said, telling Naji to put her foot away. As long as she showed no signs of rebellion, he didn’t mind her previous behavior; he was a magnanimous man.
Naji nodded. This plan was top secret in the organization, and if she hadn’t been the person responsible for the preliminary work, she probably wouldn’t have known about it.
“Oh, and ask Dr. Kongshan how to cultivate the scallions for the Green Onion Duck dish. Once you find out, send me the details via text,” Sakaki added, looking at Naji.
He truly hoped not to see this subordinate again—who knew what strange antics she might pull next time?
Naji nodded and left.
...
“Miss Naji?” Heath was surprised to see the beautiful girl with long, straight black hair before him. Her icy expression and striking features instantly told Heath who she was.
Recently, Naji’s dojo had been the talk of the Alliance. She was the most beautiful female gym leader and also a psychic, making her psychic dojo wildly popular. Countless people wanted to train under her.
Of course, Heath suspected many sought more than just an apprenticeship, unaware that this beautiful girl also carried a secret, hidden identity.
“I’ll feed him down there. He’s very angry,” Naji said coldly, emotionless eyes fixed on Heath.
Heath paused, then after some thought, realized what she meant.
“Mr. Sakaki is quite picky with flavors. Miss Naji, if your efforts down there don’t taste good, he won’t eat. So you really need to improve your skills—after all, presentation, aroma, and taste all matter,” Heath said with a cheerful tone, acting as a customer service representative. Naji was a generous big spender, so if he could make her happy, he could earn some easy money.
Naji’s expression softened slightly, clearly recalling something and seeming to comprehend.
“Of course, although some so-called trendy restaurants now sell poor service as a feature and even gain popularity, that’s not advisable,” Heath added.
Naji’s eyes lit up, then she threw down a wad of cash and vanished from Heath’s sight.
Heath stood there stunned. What was Naji grasping now? Could this psychic stop constantly having these wild realizations? He hadn’t even finished speaking!
Still, seeing the money, Heath happily pocketed it. Judging by the thickness, it was about 2,200 in currency—Naji was truly wealthy.
“Too bad I don’t like freeloading, and Naji seems a bit interested in Mr. Sakaki. Otherwise, I wouldn’t bother trying so hard, clinging to Miss Naji’s thigh and calling her rich lady,” Heath stretched lazily.
“Ugh! Shameless!” Zoroa looked at Heath with disdain.
“Quick, turn me into a rich loli!” Heath grabbed a rolling pin and gently tapped Zoroa’s head.
“Wahh~” Zoroa made a shy sound.
“Stop crying. No one’s coming to save you, so hurry up and transform!” Heath laughed wildly, determined to teach this reckless fox a lesson today.
Then Heath noticed the Green Onion Duck casting him a sly glance. Startled, Heath looked back and saw Jun Shaxi staring at him in shock, her eyes fixed on the wooden rolling pin in his hand with a look of disgust.
“No, Sister Xi, let me explain...” Heath quickly put down the rolling pin.
“Heath... While the Alliance doesn’t forbid relationships between humans and Pokémon, what you’re doing is...” Jun Shaxi sighed and shook her head.
