Chapter 127: Falling into the Wolf's Den
"Then stop playing. Come up here now; I need you for something," Ren Jiaxuan said, his tone brooks no argument.
"What could it possibly be? Tell me over the phone; I'm in the middle of a card game," Dong Yanyan replied, laughing nonchalantly.
"I miss you. Come up here quickly. I can play cards here too, and mahjong. We can play whatever you want," Ren Jiaxuan coaxed.
Dong Yanyan hesitated. "But it's so late—"
"Don't give me any nonsense, get up here right now!" Ren Jiaxuan hung up the phone.
Dong Yanyan put the phone down, feeling baffled. "Where did all that temper come from?"
"Is that Brother Ren?" Tiantian asked with a knowing smile. "Don't blame him for being so fired up. Yesterday, his roommates were teasing him, saying he's always being bullied by you. He definitely wants to reclaim his dignity this time. You should just listen to him once; consider it helping him save face, otherwise, he won't be able to hold his head up in his dorm."
"I've always been one to cherish the fair sex! Which eye did they see me bullying him with? There are no good people, only people looking for trouble!" Dong Yanyan said helplessly. "Fine, I'll go up. I shouldn't keep bruising his ego." She picked up her jacket from the bed, put it on, combed her hair in the mirror, and turned back to ask Tiantian, "Does this look alright?"
"You look beautiful!" Tiantian laughed. "Sister Xiaowu, I'm only telling you this because I don't treat you like an outsider: those guys are a bunch of wolves. Zhao Jing was bullied pretty badly by them a few days ago, so you better be careful."
"Really? My hands were just itching for some action. Practicing on them sounds fine," Dong Yanyan squinted with a wicked gleam in her eyes, eager to try.
Xinran sensed something was off. She asked, "Yanyan, what are you doing going to the boys' dorm so late?"
Dong Yanyan looked at the boys and girls in the room, feeling somewhat awkward, and inadvertently caught Lin Feng’s complex gaze. She decided to strike a devil-may-care pose and laughed, "Me? I'm going to... go flirt with some handsome guys. You guys keep playing; I'll be back in a while."
With that, she waved at them and headed upstairs.
Walking up to the fifth floor alone, late at night, she suddenly felt the tragic heroism of a lone warrior embarking on a mission.
She knocked on the door of Room 510. The noisy dorm suddenly fell silent for an instant, which made her guard go up.
"Come in," Li Zhe’s voice came from inside.
She pushed the door open with her right hand while quickly stepping back a pace. Seeing that nothing fell from the top of the door, she peeked inside with relief. Good, everyone was there.
"Yanyan, why are you standing at the door? Come in!" Zhang Dawei, who was sitting near the door, stood up and pulled her inside. Suddenly, she felt her ankle catch on something and she stumbled, falling onto Zhang Dawei, who lost his balance and fell onto the bed.
"Yanyan, are you hurt?" The guys who had been busy with their own things scrambled over to help her, their hands brushing against her body in a chaotic mess, pressing her down. Was this helping? It was clearly taking advantage of the situation. Dong Yanyan knew they were up to no good.
"It's fine, it's fine, I can get up myself." She scrambled to climb off Zhang Dawei, accidentally pressing her knee into a certain part of him, tugging open his shirt buttons with her hands, and inadvertently pressing down on his chest.
Zhang Dawei winced and let out a pained cry, "Move! You guys are crushing me!"
Dong Yanyan squinted, staring at his chest meaningfully for a few seconds before deliberately shifting her gaze lower, and lower still, scanning him up and down.
"Yanyan, why are you still lying on him?" Qiu Huanyu teased with a laugh.
Dong Yanyan didn't bother to answer him; she just patted Zhang Dawei’s chest with lingering interest and laughed, "Senior, you've got a nice build, but you've over-trained—the texture is mediocre." She clapped her hands, stood up, smoothed her clothes, and turned to complain to Ren Jiaxuan, "Why is your dorm's mop left by the door? That's so dangerous!"
She caught a glimpse of Zhang Dawei looking embarrassed, pretending to calmly
