Chapter 144: Obliterating Two Formidable Enemies
Bang En was lying in bed in agony, while Bang Xin applied medicine to him with utmost care. Chen Erpao's strike had been vicious indeed, coming within a hair's breadth of severing his protruding manhood completely. Though it had been surgically reattached, it was now utterly useless.
Bang Xin's heart was filled with profound despair. In truth, she had harbored romantic feelings for her own elder brother since childhood, though they had always been restrained by the barrier of blood relations. After finally seizing an opportunity to unite them as lovers, their happiness had been short-lived. Now, her beloved brother had been reduced to a state neither fully male nor female. How was she supposed to accept such a reality?
Noticing Bang Xin's desolate expression, Bang En assumed she was already disgusted with him. Combined with the overwhelming rage burning in his chest, his face contorted into an exceptionally ugly grimace.
"Are you despising me for no longer being a real man? Ha? Are you afraid of loneliness now?"
Bang Xin's mood was already extremely foul, and she snapped back impatiently, "Will you stop moving around? Yes, I am afraid of loneliness, as you well know, but I intend to stay by your side regardless."
"Nonsense! Even if I'm not a man anymore, I can still satisfy you just the same." Bang En was rapidly losing his sanity. The greatest tragedy a man could suffer had fallen upon him; even a deity would have gone mad under such circumstances.
Ignoring him, Bang Xin continued applying the ointment. Yet, to Bang En's distorted perspective, her silence meant something else entirely—she had lost interest in him and couldn't even be bothered to reply.
Suddenly, Bang En thrust out a large hand, aggressively shoving it down into Bang Xin's trousers and moving it violently.
A flash of pain crossed Bang Xin's face. Though she desperately wanted to push him away, she feared injuring his fragile self-esteem. Perhaps letting him vent would bring him some inner peace.
Observing Bang Xin's expressionless face, Bang En increased the vigor of his movements. A moment later, he abruptly grabbed her upper garments and ripped them apart. Bang Xin's upper body was instantly bared. Her skin had a slightly dark hue, but her physique was remarkably well-proportioned, featuring a pair of full, firm breasts.
Just at that moment, with a loud crash, the door was violently kicked open, and dozens of men surged into the room.
Both Bang En and Bang Xin were struck pale with fright, initially believing that Chen Erpao had returned to finish them off. However, upon recognizing the leaders of the three major gangs among the intruders, shock and fury washed over them.
"What do you want?"
The leader of the Zhenbei Gang stepped forward first, offering a cold, cruel smile. "What do we want? We want to hand you both over to Chen Erpao. If it weren't for you two, I wouldn't have lost my entire gang and ended up being hunted down like a stray dog."
The leader of the Scorpion Gang chimed in with bitter resentment, "Forgive us! Right now, sacrificing your lives is the only way to buy safety for so many of us! Men, grab them!"
Enraged and alarmed, Bang En and Bang Xin had no intention of surrendering without a fight, desperately struggling against their attackers despite their injuries.
Yet, wounded as they were, their combat effectiveness was less than half of what it used to be, and within minutes, they were beaten to the ground.
With a sinister smirk, the leader of the Zhenbei Gang suddenly brought his foot down hard right onto Bang En's wounded crotch, driving him into excruciating agony and wringing out a harrowing, miserable scream.
"Consider this a tiny down payment of interest. Because of your million-dollar scheme, you ruined a decade of my foundation!"
Bang En's face turned ghastly pale, drained of all color until it resembled a blank sheet of paper. Under that vicious stomp, the manhood that had only recently been reattached was shattered once more—this time, definitively and permanently.
Nearby, Bang Xin lay half-naked, presenting a scene of utterly irresistible temptation. The three gang leaders stared fixedly at her, their eyes blazing with lust.
"I heard they're biological siblings. Truly depraved! Even with his thing completely broken, the bastard was still trying to get some. Talk about being rotten to the core." The Zhenbei Gang leader closely inspected the semi-nude body, only now realizing that this wild woman possessed such a seductive side.
The Tian'an Gang leader suggested, "If we just hand her over to Chen Erpao like this, she's certain to die, which would be an awful waste. Why don't we enjoy her first? Having our way with her might finally vent the fire in my heart."
Half an hour later, Bang Xin lay paralyzed on the floor, utterly naked and covered in wounds, her intimate areas horribly swollen and stained with blood.
"Charge! Kill them all..." With a thunderous roar like exploding thunder, Chen Erpao led his forces in a fierce assault, breaching the headquarters of the Tian'an Gang.
The remnants of the Zhenbei Gang, Scorpion Gang, and Tian'an Gang were like startled birds in the forest, completely incapable of resistance and retreating in cascading defeat. Drenched in cold sweat, the three gang leaders scrambled out in a panic.
"Well, well. I never expected all three ringleaders to be hiding right here. Saves me the trouble of hunting you down one by one." Chen Erpao sneered repeatedly. The blood still damp on his body added a chilling, ferocious edge to his appearance.
The Zhenbei Gang leader plastered an ingratiating smile across his face and stammered, "Brother Erpao, it was our blindness that failed to recognize Mount Tai, and our greed for money blinded our judgment for a moment. We are handing the masterminds—Bang En and Bang Xin—over to you right now. Can you spare our lives?"
Shortly after, a naked, battered Bang Xin and an unconscious Bang En were dragged out into the open, looking utterly wretched. Yet Chen Erpao felt not a shred of pity. These people had repeatedly tried to drive him to a grave; even a clay idol would flare with anger, let alone a man about to become the undisputed monarch of the Tuen Mun district.
In truth, Chen Erpao had already anticipated that the three minor gangs would resort to this. He was not a cold-blooded monster; there had been far too much bloodshed this evening. With nearly two hundred men still under the command of these three gangs, could he truly find it in his heart to slaughter every last one of them? Even so, he would not let them off lightly—extracting a heavy price was non-negotiable.
"Hand over every single cent each of your gangs took as a bounty, and on top of that, offer another million as an apology. Only then will I refrain from starting a massive massacre today. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind painting this place red with blood. You're welcome to test whether I have the capability to do so."
The expressions of the three gang leaders shifted uncomfortably. Relinquishing the million they had unjustly acquired was already painful enough, but having to dig an additional million out of their own pockets broke their hearts. For minor factions like theirs, one million was an astronomical sum.
Chen Erpao spoke once more, his tone as chilling as eternal glacial ice. No one dared doubt that at the slightest flick of his wrist, the wrath of a monarch would descend to cleanse the place in blood.
"I'll give you three minutes to consider. My patience has its limits. When the time is up, even if you offer ten million, I will still slaughter this place."
One minute, two minutes... Just as the third minute was slipping away, the three gang leaders surrendered with grim resignation.
Gazing down at the broken bodies of Bang En and Bang Xin collapsed on the floor, Chen Erpao felt no lingering desire to continue torturing them, despite their heinous crimes. He signaled a member of the Sea Breeze Hall to finish them swiftly and cleanly with a single blade.
The underworld operated thus: it was either you die or I survive. No one could be blamed, nor could heaven be accused of injustice—the only fault lay in choosing the wrong path.
