You deserve it.
In the obstetrics ward, Mu Qingxi stood outside the room, watching Wang Feiyan and Bai Fanhao inside. She sneered, pushed the door open, and walked in.
The moment Wang Feiyan saw her, she screamed, "Mu Qingxi, what are you doing!"
Seeing the murderous hatred in Wang Feiyan’s eyes, Mu Qingxi let out a soft laugh. "Wang Feiyan, what am I doing? Why don’t you tell me? Of course, I’ve come for the spectacle. I wanted to see what a shameless woman, who’s climbed into someone else’s bed time and again, looks like now."
"Ah, Mu Qingxi, I’ll kill you!" Wang Feiyan shouted, brimming with hatred.
Mu Qingxi spoke lightly, "Oh dear, if you kill me, you’ll go to prison. Oh, and for someone like you—unable to have children, with no future—what difference does prison make?"
"Enough, Mu Qingxi! Stop provoking her. She’s already in this state. What more do you want?" Bai Fanhao roared.
"Enough? Ha, Bai Fanhao, you’re such an idiot, groveling before a woman who never considered you a friend. You’re the one who’s had enough!" she mocked him.
"Mu Qingxi, get out! Get out!" Wang Feiyan shrieked hysterically.
Soon, a crowd entered the ward—Xi Haifei, Qin Yu, Xiao Gang, Chen Bin, Wu Huan, Xu Hongliang, and others.
Even Feng Han arrived from the back garden, all staring at Mu Qingxi with predatory eyes. Feng Han pleaded, "Xiao Mu, stop this."
His words made everyone speculate—did these two know each other?
"Wang Feiyan, isn’t it curious? Aren’t you all curious? Let me tell you."
"Mu Mu, don’t do this. You’re making everyone worry," Xi Haifei walked over.
"I don’t need your fake concern, Xi Haifei," she brushed aside his outstretched hand.
"I’m mad, do you all know that? Feng Han’s bed has been invaded several times, Wang Feiyan has come to trouble me more than once. Should I stay silent?" Mu Qingxi sneered coldly.
She walked to Wang Feiyan’s bedside, staring her down. "Wang Feiyan, you know Feng Han has a girlfriend called ‘Madwoman,’ right? I think you all know—Feng Han has a girlfriend called ‘Madwoman.’ But none of you ever knew who she was. Now I’ll tell you: I, Mu Qingxi, am the Madwoman!"
She strode up to Wu Huan, Xu Hongliang, and the others. "Weren’t you all looking for trouble with me? Fine, I’m waiting."
With small steps, Mu Qingxi walked out. Qin Yu and Xi Haifei followed quickly. Xiao Gang and Chen Bin hesitated before stepping out too, and even Bai Fanhao, after a moment’s shock, ran out nervously.
Only Feng Han, Blondie, Wu Huan, and a few others remained where they were.
They all deserved it; she deserved it too.
What did acting like a lunatic accomplish? It couldn’t change the fact that there was no longer any chance for her and Feng Han.
Back home, Mu Qingxi locked herself in her room and called Lu. Her voice was choked with sobs, and after spilling her heart, Lu understood. Lu comforted her, "Mu Mu, don’t fall in love too easily, and don’t hate too easily either. You should let yourself live more lightly. We should live our youth freely and vibrantly—not battered and bruised."
"But I’m already so unhappy, so burdened, so wounded," Mu Qingxi replied.
"Mu Mu, time is the best medicine for wounds. All that unhappiness will dissipate like clouds; you just need to reach out and grasp the happiness around you. Don’t cry anymore. The Madwoman I know never cries."
Lu’s words made Mu Qingxi laugh. Of course, Madwoman never cried; that was because Madwoman was already numb. But now, she wasn’t the Madwoman—she was Mu Qingxi. Yet Mu Qingxi was the Madwoman, and the Madwoman was Mu Qingxi.
Lu, her confidante sister—having her by her side meant even the gloomiest days would eventually turn to sunshine.
