Chen Lini was already laughing uncontrollably on the bank, doubled over with laughter.

Still chuckling, Chen Lini picked up some mud from the ground and started flinging it at Zeng Xiaofan,
giggling like a silver bell with each throw.

Zeng Xiaofan looked at her mischievous expression, both annoyed and amused, and sighed before raising his hands.
“Alright, alright~”
“I surrender, okay?”
“Miss Chen, I admit defeat. I surrender to you, is that good enough?”
“Now, can you pull me up?”

Zeng Xiaofan raised his hands and walked toward the shore. Chen Lini coquettishly smiled.
“That’s more like it~”
“Are you interested in this lady now?”
“Interested, interested~”
“Whatever you say, it’s done~ okay?” Zeng Xiaofan said helplessly with a smile.

“Heh heh heh... you’re sensible!” Chen Lini said, then suddenly wiped a handful of mud across Zeng Xiaofan’s face.

Seeing his mud-splattered face, she laughed until tears nearly streamed down her cheeks.
“Stop fooling around... OK?”
“Miss Chen... could you please help me up now?”

Zeng Xiaofan raised his hands again, and Chen Lini finally grabbed his hand to help him up.

But just as her delicate hand touched his, Zeng Xiaofan’s lips curved into a sly smile and said in a low voice,
“Come back down!”

With each word, Zeng Xiaofan slapped her harder, making Chen Lini scream louder.
