Chapter One Hundred: Foolish Woman
Fu Chen knew that Song Wei had gone to the restroom, but the man had been gone far too long, and he was starting to feel uneasy. Just as he reached the restroom door, he saw Song Wei standing there in a daze.
He stepped forward and patted Song Wei on the shoulder, only for Song Wei to nearly jump out of his skin as if he had seen a ghost.
“Don’t you know people can scare someone to death?”
Song Wei had been concentrating so hard on where that woman had come from that he had not noticed anyone approaching at all. Fu Chen’s tap had nearly frightened his soul out of him.
Fu Chen looked at him suspiciously and said in a low voice, “All I know is that if you have a clear conscience, you have nothing to fear from ghosts knocking at your door.”
“What’s wrong with you? You look completely out of sorts.”
Song Wei was certainly not about to tell him what had just happened...
There was already so much evil in the world that it was not his responsibility to meddle, nor did he have the energy to do so. But since he had encountered it, if he could conveniently deal with those two, he would be more than willing to act.
“Where on earth did this man go?” After turning off the video, Xing Wei could not help sinking into thought. “No.” She got to her feet, grabbed her bag, and hurried out the door.
As expected, the royal seal was dug up from the courtyard. Zhao Hui was overjoyed and immediately announced his father’s will to the people, thus inheriting the throne.
“I am terribly sorry. Would you be willing to change to another room?” Dal said apologetically.
Upon hearing this, Long Xinglin nodded. He more or less understood what Jie meant. If it was not an elemental problem, then it was a matter of constitution; yin and yang were naturally at odds.
Hao Lan had come to this French headquarters for a reason. His mother was French, and if she had worked as an agent, she would certainly have started in France. Then the records and clues about her should be here in the French branch of Sky Net, and that would surely be of great help in Hao Lan’s search for his family.
After that, other teams slowly began to emerge from the forest. They appeared one after another, and after several clashes as well as the harsh conditions within the woods, each group had suffered losses. Many people were injured, and the quality of the teams varied widely, yet all were eager to fight for the remaining spots.
Long Xinglin shrugged, but Wang Yan’s methods had indeed infuriated him. Since the other man had provoked him, this fire of his was not going to be extinguished so easily.
The young man moved again, stepping through the water toward Lin Xiao one step at a time. The crisp splashing of each footfall sounded like the approach of death itself, pressing down on Lin Xiao with immense pressure.
Senior Qin Xin reacted instinctively and shifted her body to dodge. Though her body escaped, Fu He’an’s broadsword still severed one of her arms.
When he turned around and saw that Xu Mo’s face had already changed from purplish blue to pitch black, he hurriedly released him and flicked a healing spell, Spring Revival, onto Xu Mo. After that, his own expression quickly returned to normal.
“Miss Song, I never thought your tastes would be so wild. You’re into S and M? Ouch, this brother is a first-timer.” Wu Fan was still somewhat dazed and did not understand the situation at all, so he grinned stupidly as he spoke.
In fact, Wang Hai was the third younger brother of General Wang. As for the second brother, Wang Di, he had already died in his youth.
Zhong Kai was doing nothing in Baihe these days, not helping with the farm work and running around aimlessly. It would be better to bring him along to Guang Prefecture with him; there would be plenty of business in the future, and Wu Fan would need a great many hands.
“So this is your hometown?” Zhi Zutian’s tone was as if he were chatting with an old friend.
Wu Jiachun swayed as he walked forward, pressed a heavy kiss onto the big snake’s face, then gave Wu Fan a disgusted look before turning and swaying away again.
Murong Tian’s face grew extremely ugly at those words, but at this moment he truly could do nothing.
“Trying to run?” The Demon Lord spread out his palm, clenched it forcefully in the void, and fixed the fleeing Jin Mo in midair. No matter how Jin Mo struggled, it was utterly useless.
The concentrated shockwave shot toward the two shields like a sharp arrow. The ice shield instantly shattered and scattered, and the earth shield offered no protection at all before collapsing as well.
Earlier, when he had been inspecting and regulating the Pugan people’s shops, he had been far stricter and more severe toward them than toward his own countrymen, and in the process he had caused the Seven Stars Gang quite a lot of trouble. He had not expected that the double standard he had adopted out of goodwill toward his fellow countrymen would bring so many negative consequences.
